The National Registry of
Volunteers has established a database of persons volunteering in the wider
community. The objectives are :To identify all persons giving service
voluntarily and to register these persons appropriately; To list all
voluntary organizations to enable greater networking and to facilitate
better access to persons wanting to give service; To encourage and cause the
development of a larger volunteer corps than now exists, particularly among
the youth and retirees; To enable the listing and valuation of the service
hours given to enable the determination of value to the Gross Domestic
Product of the country; To enable the recognition of volunteers; To provide
this data base as a resource for all voluntary related needs and activities
so as to match volunteer with need islandwide.

competence and suitability of the volunteer for the receiving Organisation.
The receiving organisation hereby releases the CVSS/Organisation from any

undertakes to conduct its own screening, training and orientation of the
volunteer to determine suitability for the receiving organisations purpose"
